How wide should my curtains be?
As a rough guide, we allow the following fullness for each heading:
- Pencil pleat typically uses 2–2.5× track width
- Pinch pleat and wave use specific ratios for an elegant, even stack. We calculate this for you during survey.
Do I need blackout lining?
We do recommend blackout lining for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms. Blackout improves darkness and also helps reduce heat loss and noise. In living spaces, a standard or thermal lining often gives the best drape and value.
Tracks or poles?
Poles make a feature of the window (ideal for eyelet and pinch pleat). Tracks are discreet and glide beautifully, especially on bays or wide spans. We supply both, including heavy-duty and motorised options.
Can you fit curtains over patio or bi-fold doors?
